APCM – Thursday 15th May 2025

8 April 2025

On Thursday 15th May, 7:30pm, we will hold our Annual Meeting at Trinity Church. Officially called the APCM (Annual Parochial Church Meeting), it’s an opportunity to review the year gone by with thankfulness and look ahead with dependence.

The APCM is the forum where PCC members, along with the Church Wardens (a kind of Anglican equivalent of head boy/girl!) are elected. To vote at the APCM you need to be on the electoral roll (an informal membership list which you can sign up to here), but all are encouraged to attend.

Interested in joining the PCC?

The PCC (Parochial Church Council) is the governing body of Trinity Church. Currently it is made up of our 3 clergy, along with 12 lay members of the church family. Meetings are held in alternate months and are chaired by Sam. At this year’s APCM, there will be elections for 2 or 3 new people to join the PCC as some of our longer serving members are stepping down. Anyone who is aged 16 or over, is a communicant member of the Church and has been on the Electoral Roll for at least 6 months is eligible to stand.

If you think you may be interested, the first step is to have a word with Sam who will be pleased to give you some idea of the responsibilities and what’s involved.
