Why join a Life Group?

As a church, we long to be deeply rooted in Jesus and fruitful for him. This is something we are called to do together, as we are actively involved in each other’s lives. That’s why we encourage everyone at Trinity Church to be part of a Life Group, whatever stage you may be at in your own faith. We have a range of Life Groups, meeting at different times and places, including two new groups starting this term.

What happens in Life Groups?

The purpose of life groups is to encourage each other to keep growing as disciples of Christ. We do this through building meaningful relationships, actively caring for each other, and prayerfully applying God’s word to our lives. Our usual pattern is to discuss the Bible passage preached the previous Sunday.

How often do Life Groups meet?

Our life groups meet during school term-time. Evening groups meet 3 weeks in 4, missing a week when our Trinity Together whole-church prayer meeting takes place (usually the second Tuesday of each month). Daytime groups usually meet weekly.

What commitment level is required?

Life groups work much better when group members are committed to meeting together. If someone rarely attends, relationships are slower to form, and it becomes harder for groups to share deeply with one another. There will always be occasions when we’ll have to miss a session or two, but please only sign up for a Life Group if you intend to be a regular member.

We encourage new members of a group to attend for a few weeks as a taster, with no hard feelings if, after that, you feel that it’s not the right fit for you.
