Room for Growth - Update 26 June 2026
A quiet transformation has been taking place at Trinity Church Henley. 7 years ago, there was a small congregation of 30 with very little mid-week activity. Today, 170 regularly gather each Sunday, including 60 children, alongside a busy round of midweek activities serving our wider community.
We are now embarking on exciting plans for the church building called ‘Room for Growth’. At around £2million, these plans will facilitate a new lease of life for our beautiful church and community space, which has been serving our Henley community since 1848.
On 19th June 2026 we launched the plans to the community. A church full of guests, inspiring stories of ways the Lord is at work, and some positive write-ups in the local press. Our plans are well and truly launched!
What are the Room for Growth plans?

In brief, the Room for Growth plans have been developed around three core priorities:
- A warm welcome (new welcome lobby, new heating, new accessible toilets)
- Sufficient spaces (new breakout rooms and a revamped preschool/babies room)
- Well-resourced worship (new AV and lighting system)
They will create room for growth – the growth we are already experiencing, and the growth that these plans will further enable.
